REAL Leadership Academy

REAL Leadership Academy is Gamma Phi Beta’s in-person leadership event designed exclusively for incoming collegiate chapter presidents and chapter advisors. Participation in this event is required and will equip leaders with the tools needed to create lasting change at their chapters and within international Gamma Phi Beta.

REAL Leadership Academy will be back January 8-10, 2027 in Dallas, Texas! We’ll announce more details, including pricing, event schedule, and more, in fall 2026. Stay tuned!

What will I gain from attending?

This event is your opportunity to invest in yourself and your chapter while gaining the tools to lead with confidence. Designed with you in mind, the experience offers dynamic programming to help you engage and guide your entire chapter through change, along with critical training to effectively collaborate with your advisory board. Our time together focuses not only on education but on developing relationships with other sisters and friends who give their time to Gamma Phi Beta.

Who is expected to attend?

All 2027 incoming chapter presidents, primary chapter advisors and invited international volunteers are required to attend RLA. Please ensure all presidential candidates understand this commitment during this fall’s election process.

What did last year’s attendees say?

“RLA has been the most impactful experience I have had as a Gamma Phi Beta so far. Connecting with other presidents, advisors and higher ups has been so impactful and helped me greatly along my leadership journey!”

“RLA has been such an inspiring weekend. Not only have the educational sessions sparked so many ideas for me to bring back to my chapter, but also meeting presidents across the country has left me with a feeling of support and motivation to make my chapter the best it can be and improve the international Gamma Phi Beta organization.”

“I’m so excited about Gamma Phi Beta’s laser focus on our future through our strategic plan priorities. The challenges today are different than we’ve ever faced, and I’m thrilled to be part of building the Gamma Phi Beta of tomorrow.”

“The theory of marginal gain is a framework I am so excited to use as a chapter advisor in Gamma Phi Beta but also as a teacher and leader in my school building. The power of small improvement over time is crucial and I am eager to see all the small improvements that happen this year in my career and volunteer work.”
