We give girls the confidence to dream big. We inspire the female leaders of tomorrow.
We are committed to improving the lives of young girls by not only building stronger girls but stronger communities through them.

OUR SIGNATURE PHILANTHROPY EVENT: MOONBALL

Moonball is Gamma Phi Beta’s signature philanthropy event, where collegiate chapters across North America host a kickball, volleyball or basketball tournament each academic year to raise funds for our philanthropic partner, Girls on the Run. Moonball provides a healthy activity for participants, while allowing our members to serve as mentors and leaders in their communities.

Use our chapter locator to reach out to a nearby collegiate chapter to find out how you can participate, volunteer or donate through Moonball!

Our Philanthropic Partner: Girls on the Run

Gamma Phi Beta is the proud exclusive National Panhellenic Conference National Partner of Girls on the Run International, a nonprofit organization that allows our membership to actively live our philanthropic focus of Building Strong Girls through hands-on service and charitable giving.

Girls on the Run’s Mission
We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running.

Girls on the Run’s Vision
We envision a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams.

Girls on the Run has more than 160 local councils that each have different needs. Whether you have a couple of hours a day, week, month or year, there are plenty of opportunities to help build strong girls with our philanthropic partner.

Here are some of the volunteer opportunities available.

  • Become a coach or assistant coach and inspire a group of girls through their easy-to-follow curriculum over the course of 10-12 weeks. You do not have to run to be a coach, just an awesome role model! Ready, set, coach!
  • Lace up your sneakers and become a running buddy. Paired with a special girl, you have the opportunity to run a 5k by her side while providing the encouragement she needs to cross the finish line. This is a powerful role!
  • Become a 5k race crew member. Help with hydration stations, the happy hair station and more at a Girls on the Run 5k.
