Multiply Your Generosity
Matching gift programs are a type of corporate giving where companies match the gifts their employees make to nonprofit organizations. Ask your employer if they have a matching gift program in order for your donation to provide significantly more support for Gamma Phi Beta.
Not sure where to start? Ask your company’s Human Resources department to see what options are available.
Honor Moments and Members
Whether you want to celebrate a member’s accomplishment or honor their life, there are numerous ways you can do so while supporting the Gamma Phi Beta Foundation. Gifts made are recognized on our In Celebration and In Memory pages.
In Celebration Gifts
Members and friends of Gamma Phi Beta can commemorate special events or accomplishments a donation to the Foundation. The minimum In Celebration Gift amount is $25. When an In Celebration Gift is made, the honoree is notified. (Be sure to fill out the Who Are You Honoring section on the payment form.)
Honor a deceased member, family member or friend through a gift to the Foundation. The minimum Memorial Gift is $25. When a Memorial Gift is made, the deceased member's family or alumnae chapter is notified.
Make a Tax-Free Gift
Beginning the year you turn 72, you can make a gift of any amount (up to $100,000) per year from your Individual Retirement Arrangements (IRA) directly to a qualified charity, like the Gamma Phi Beta Foundation which will satisfy all or part of your required minimum distribution.
You pay no income taxes on the gift. The transfer generates neither taxable income nor a tax deduction, so you benefit even if you do not itemize your deductions. Since the gift doesn’t count as income, it can reduce your annual income level. This may help lower your Medicare premiums and decrease the amount of Social Security that is subject to tax.
