Syracuse Triad
Alpha Phi and Gamma Phi Beta shared the common bond of being founded at Syracuse University. Both groups received assistance and encouragement from male professors. For Alpha Phi, that help came from Greek professor Wellesley P. Coddington who in 1904 was also instrumental in the founding of Alpha Gamma Delta who, along with Alpha Phi and Gamma Phi Beta, became known as the Syracuse Triad.
