Delta Rho Chapter (Dickinson)

Delta Rho Chapter was installed at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, on May 17, 1980. Delta Rho Chapter was closed on May 1, 1987.

The long established local sorority, Alpha Delta Epsilon, became Delta Rho Chapter (Dickinson) on February 9, 1980, when their 35 members were asked to join Gamma Phi Beta by Gamma Beta Chapter (Gettysburg). On February 11, the colony welcomed 32 more new members, and became the third National Panhellenic Conference chapter on campus, joining Kappa Kappa Gamma and Pi Beta Phi. The colony was directed in its new member training by Expansion Supervisor Karen L. Hedine (University of Washington), assisted by Collegiate Consultant* Marni Shonerd Hood (Northern Arizona) and the Bucknell Graduate Counselor Missy Farmer. The Alumnae Field Representative was Bette Byrd Filip (Oklahoma).

Delta Xi Chapter (Bucknell) performed the initiation ceremony with Grand President** Karen Wander Kline (Iowa State) presenting the badges to 56 charter members. The installation banquet was held at Mt. Hollu Inn where other guests were joined by Alpha Alpha Chapter (Toronto). The chapter was welcomed by Director of Expansion Lanier Selzer Moore (Southern Methodist), and the Delta Rho Chapter President Diane Klawans Arons (Dickinson) received the charter from Mrs. Kline.
