Member Milestones
Gamma Phi Beta celebrates the Initiation anniversary of 75-year, 50-year, 25-year and 10-year members. These milestones are an important part of a member’s Gamma Phi Beta journey. As members celebrate their Initiation anniversary in these years, they often reflect on what Gamma Phi Beta has meant to them over the years. From friends who become sisters to sisters who become family, Gamma Phi Beta remains True and Constant because of the dedication of our members. While the time we spend in our collegiate chapters is short, these membership milestones serve as a reminder that this sisterhood for a lifetime.

For members who initiated in or before 1947, celebrate your diamond anniversary in Gamma Phi Beta.
For members who initiated in or before 1972, celebrate 50 years of membership in Gamma Phi Beta.
For members who initiated in or before 1997, celebrate 25 years of membership in Gamma Phi Beta.
For members who initiated in or before 2012, celebrate 10 years of membership in Gamma Phi Beta.
Member Recognition
Length of service AWARDS
The Merit Roll, Service Roll and Loyalty Awards are one of the ways that Gamma Phi Beta recognizes volunteer service of members in good standing. These honored awards celebrate our sisters’ passion for service and their dedication to others.
These awards are defined as follows:
- The Merit Roll Award is awarded to members in good standing who have given long, devoted and distinguished service to the Sorority at the local level for a minimum of 15 years.
- The Service Roll Award is awarded to members in good standing who have given long and devoted service for a minimum of five years at the international level and 15 years total at both the local and international levels as well as financial support to the Gamma Phi Beta Foundation or the Sorority for a minimum of five years.
- The Loyalty Award is awarded to members in good standing who have given outstanding service at the international level for at least seven years as well as a minimum of seven years of financial support to the Gamma Phi Beta Foundation or Sorority.
Nominations are accepted on a rolling basis. Decisions about nomination will be sent through email to the nominator by the 5th day of the following month in which the candidate was nominated.
Biannual Awards
- The Carnation Award recognizes members whose outstanding achievements in fields outside the Sorority have brought them honor or great distinction. Members of International Council shall not be eligible while holding office.
- The Honor Roll Award recognizes members in good standing who have created and developed a service for the Sorority that has contributed notably over a period of years toward the fulfillment of the aims of the organization, and members who have given distinguished service at the highest international level over a period of years. Members of International Council shall not be eligible while holding office.
ALUMNAE CHAPTER AWARDS
- IIKE Award: Any chapter or individual may submit to International Headquarters the name of any alumna member who has received this award. The criteria for this award are delineated by the alumnae chapter. A IIKE Award pin may be purchased from Herff Jones by the chapter and presented to the honored member, preferably at Founders Day.
