Convention 1978: Nashville, Tennessee

June 22-27, 1978, Conventioneers gathered in Nashville, Tennessee, at the Hyatt-Regency Hotel for the 58th Convention. This venue is now called Sheraton Nashville Downtown. A nod to Nashville’s musical heritage, the Convention boasted the theme “Sing out Gamma Phi.” Each of the events was named after a song title, such as “Tie a Yellow Ribbon” for a program on Sorority expansion, “Write Me a Letter” for a session on membership recommendations and “Home on the Range” for an affiliated house corporation session.

Philadelphia North Suburban Alumnae Chapter became the third alumnae chapter to move into the Sorority’s Hall of Fame.

The fall 1977 issue of The Crescent advertised Convention 1978.
