Convention 2014: Seattle, Washington
In 2014, sisterhood was shining in Seattle at Gamma Phi Beta’s 76th Convention. Conventioneers were dazzled by a vibrant Welcome Dinner – the stage had been transformed to reflect Seattle’s renowned Pike Place Market, complete with fresh-cut flowers, fruits and vegetables and replicas of the Public Market sign and Seattle skyline. Sisters were also surprised by a fish-throwing performance by The Pike Place Fishmongers.
International President Krista Spanninger Davis (Bowling Green) focused on achieving excellence by inspiring sisterhood, developing and expanding volunteerism and optimizing the Sorority’s processes and resources in her International President’s address. Annabel Jones (Oklahoma) presented the first Facilities Management Company Address. By the conclusion of Convention, more than 80 awards were presented to deserving chapters and individuals and 35 important Bylaw amendments were adopted.
