Gamma Chapter (Wisconsin-Madison)

Gamma Chapter was installed at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Madison, Wisconsin, on November 14, 1885.

Sarah Satterthwaite (Michigan, 1883) organized eight women at the University of Wisconsin, assisted by Carrie Morgan (Wisconsin-Madison, 1885), one of the chapter’s charter members. Carrie Morgan later became Grand President*. The Initiation of the chapter was conducted by Grace Darling (Michigan, 1883) and Elizabeth Cornell (Michigan, 1882).

*Grand President is now known as International President.
