Beta Omicron Chapter (Oklahoma City)

Beta Omicron Chapter was installed at Oklahoma City University in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on November 3, 1951.

Beta Alpha Phi was a local sorority founded in 1910 on the Oklahoma City campus. The group was encouraged to petition by Eula Fullerton (Oklahoma, 1920), and the Oklahoma City Alumnae Chapter. The Initiation service was conducted by Psi Chapter (Oklahoma) and 77 former Beta Alpha Phi members were initiated. Grand President* Evelyn Gooding Dippell (Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, 1933) presented the charter and was assisted by Alumnae Vice President Stella Wantland Morrisett (Oklahoma, 1919), Chairman of Finance Marjorie Hoover Newman (Oklahoma, 1934) and Province** Director Puilla Hill Hodges (Oklahoma, 1922).

*Grand President is now known as International President.

**Gamma Phi Beta reorganized its structure from Provinces to Regions in 2006.
