Why did you join Gamma Phi Beta, and what is your best Gamma Phi memory?
I wanted more than just a college experience — connection, purpose and a values-based support system. As someone who didn't have an older sister, I was drawn to a sisterhood that extended beyond campus and four years. Gamma Phi gave me that and so much more.

It's hard to name just one best memory because the moments keep getting better. It was the spontaneous girls' trips and unforgettable spring breaks in college. Now, 20 years later, it's celebrating life's most significant milestones — weddings, babies, careers and promotions — and being there for each other through the highs and lows. That's the beauty of Gamma Phi: the sisterhood truly endures.

Why do you donate to the Gamma Phi Beta Foundation?

I donate to the Gamma Phi Beta Foundation because I've seen firsthand the power of mentorship, leadership and community. In my public service and communications career, I mentor others every day, and I know that confidence and support start early.

The Foundation ensures women can access scholarships and programs that help them lead purposefully. It's an honor to give to the future of strong women leaders, just like others once invested in me.

Why did you choose to serve as an ambassador for Gamma Phi Gives Day?
Serving as a Gamma Phi Gives Day ambassador was a natural fit for me. Giving back is something I value deeply, and this was a meaningful way to continue that legacy within a sisterhood that has shaped so much of who I am. I've dedicated my career to public service and mentorship, so using my voice and network to uplift Gamma Phi felt personal and purposeful.

It also allowed me to reconnect with sisters across generations, including a great conversation with Teresa Jones Haney (Northern Arizona), Vice President of Gamma Phi Beta's International Council. We had a thoughtful discussion about her role and explored opportunities for me to continue to be involved in the future.

What message did you share with your sisters to encourage them to give?
I reached out through videos, emails and texts to remind sisters that giving isn't about the amount — it's about showing up, making an impact and continuing the legacy of Gamma Phi Beta. I encouraged everyone to reflect on how this sisterhood has shaped their journey and its role in their lives.

I also highlighted how the Foundation directly supports leadership, scholarships and personal development, empowering women to lead with confidence and purpose. Most importantly, I was honest: We had both a dollar goal and a participation goal. I reminded them that when we come together, we can make big things happen, but I needed their help to get us there.
