Gamma Phi Get Together Host Resources

Gamma Phi Get-Together allows alumnae, like you, to connect with Gamma Phi Beta in a way that is personally meaningful. This annual signature program invites all alumnae to honor the first meeting of Gamma Phi Beta’s Founders on September 24, 1875 and spend time intentionally with other Gamma Phi Beta members.

There is no set event structure required for the Gamma Phi Get-Together, allowing members to celebrate uniquely across the world, both in-person and virtually, with close friends or new connections!

Gamma Phi Get-Together – Host FAQ

Gather with a sister or several and do something fun on or around September 24 to honor the Founders first meeting! As pairs or groups of sisters join together, let’s celebrate the strong connection we have as Gamma Phi Betas. By coming together, we can demonstrate just how far our bond extends – across collegiate chapters, distances, generations, and more.

As a host, you commit to supporting an event of your choosing from Friday, September 18 through Sunday, September 27, 2026. Events can be privately planned or publicly registered to receive promotional assistance by International Headquarters (IH).

If you want your event to be open to all Gamma Phi Beta alumnae, please select “public” when designating your event type. Public events are traditionally hosted by those looking to engage with members they haven’t yet met or to grow attendance in pre-existing groups, such as alumnae chapters and volunteer teams. Find more event inspiration here!

Note: Public events receive online promotional support from IH via email, social media, and website.

If you do not want your event published via email communication, social media and on the Gamma Phi Beta website, please select “private” when designating your event type. Private events are traditionally hosted by those looking to connect with those they already have a formed relationship with. This could be a Zoom call with members from your initiating class, a weekend getaway with your volunteer team or a trip abroad with your lifelong sisters! Find more event inspiration here!

Note: IH does not publicly promote private events.

In addition to IH leading the marketing of events to have the most significant reach to alumnae, all hosts will have the opportunity to request a Gamma Phi Get-Together event package during the registration process. This event package includes helpful event materials, an exclusive attendee gift, and a special token

When you’ve decided on all event details, you can register your event online. Registration opens in late summer. Register early to make sure you don’t miss the opportunity to receive a 2026 Gamma Phi Get-Together event package for your event before supplies run out.

Events registered as “public” will be promoted on the Gamma Phi Get-Together website. Public events will receive additional promotion via IH social media and email to area alumnae. Please allow 72 business hours for events to be published on the website after registering.

PUBLIC VS. PRIVATE GAMMA PHI GET-TOGETHER?

There are two types of Gamma Phi Get-Togethers – private and public. When registering your event, you will be asked to select the type of event you are hosting. Below are a few examples for each type.

Public Event

  • Promoted through the International Headquarters website, social media, and email.
  • Ideal for alumnae chapters who hope to engage all local alumnae members through a fun fall alumnae chapter recruitment event.
  • Great for alumnae of a specific collegiate chapter who want to host a chapter-wide reunion.
  • Members who don’t live near an active alumnae chapter and want to make new friends!
  • Terrific for local volunteers of Advisory or AHC boards who find themselves saying, “We could use additional support on the board.”

Private Event

  • Registered with International Headquarters but not promoted publicly.
  • Great for collegiate chapter new member classes to reconnect – in-person or virtual.
  • Ideal for established groups such as volunteer teams to get to know each other outside the “norms” of volunteering – in-person or virtual.
  • Previous Collegiate Leadership Consultants looking for a way to connect in the fall – in-person or virtual.
  • Ideal for close-knit groups of alumnae members who want to celebrate together – in-person or virtually.
