Information for Families

The Facilities Management Company (FMC) is the international housing entity for Gamma Phi Beta, supporting our ever-growing properties. When your Gamma Phi Beta resides in an FMC facility, it means she is supported by professional staff who aim to provide a welcoming and innovative home away from home for all members.

Benefits to Living-In

Your Gamma Phi Beta may have a live-in requirement as part of her membership. Many members call living-in the “best part” of their sorority experience. Having the opportunity to live along with sisters will bring a new depth to her friendships, and allows unique access to the sorority experience, including:

  • Easy attendance of on-site meetings and sisterhood events
  • Dedicated study spaces within the chapter facility
  • Shared meals with sisters
  • Access to FMC staff who truly understand and support our members

In addition, our amenities make living-in easy:

  • All utilities are included in the cost of room and board or a utility fee
  • Included WiFi, on-site laundry and parking (where applicable)
  • Safety features that can include security cameras, door access controls and fire and security alarm systems
  • Regularly scheduled cleaning services that include sanitizing common and high-touch surfaces throughout the facility.
  • Best of all, our pricing is competitive compared to off-campus opportunities. Speak to your Gamma Phi Beta about the specific amenities included at her chapter facility.

When Should I Speak to My Gamma Phi About Living-In?

Our chapters begin living-in discussions early in the fall for the next school year. This timing reflects a growing trend that students sign leases for off-campus housing opportunities a year in advance. She should receive information about living in from her chapter leadership, including costs and amenities, and she will be required to sign a housing agreement to reside her in chapter's facility.

Our Facility Directors Make the Difference

Many Gamma Phi Beta chapter facilities have a professional Facility Director or university staff member assigned to work with the chapter. Facility Directors live on-site and are employed by the FMC to manage the day-to-day operations of the property. They receive annual and on-going training in emergency response, working with college students and property management.

Beyond serving as the liaison between FMC staff, chapter leadership, vendors and contractors, the Facility Director can provide a steady presence and build a warm community among the sisters. Facility Directors often host events for residents, ranging from birthday recognition to special treats during holidays like Valentine’s Day.

"I love to bake for my girls. When I announce that there are treats in the dining room, I can hear doors slamming and feet running to get the first piece. It makes me smile every time."
