1974 : The Success of the Centennial Giving Appeal
The success of the Centennial giving appeal provided momentum for the next 10 years, so that during this period, assets of the Foundation increased from $100,000 to $400,000. The Foundation assisted chapters in sending special girls to local camps and provided transportation for undergraduate counselors to Camp Sechelt. The Colorado Camp, after persistent problems with rental sites, discontinued operations after the 1978 season though Denver Alumnae Chapter continued sending underprivileged girls to a local YMCA camp.
