Successfully Prepare for Initiation

To ensure your chapter can initiate your new members, you are responsible for the following:

  • Pay all membership fees and dues, which can be viewed in Beta Base > Operations > Reports > Chapter Financial Statement.
  • All new members must order a badge from Herff Jones. This includes all legacies.
  • Communicate the badge ordering process with your new members and, if necessary, their parents.
  • Ensure all new members claim their accounts. If they do not complete this process through the Receipt step, they have not claimed their account.
  • Reconcile your new member roster to ensure all new members are on the Herff Jones list to order a badge. · De-pledge any members in Beta Base and notify Margery Richter to remove these members from Herff Jones.
  • Communicate with your fellow chapter officers to ensure all are completing their part of the process.

If all these items are followed and completed two weeks prior to Initiation, your chapter will receive your Loyalty Pledge and can move forward without any issues.
