Hi, my name is Sally Jones and I am a member of the Alpha chapter at Syracuse University. Thank you, Helen Dodge for this award. It means I will be able to continue my studies in psychology and take on leadership roles within the chapter. I have loved being a member of Gamma Phi Beta and having the support of sisters like you means the world to me. Thank you!
Video Guidelines:
- You can record on your computer or mobile device, preferably a computer as it’s steady. If using your phone, please use a tripod or prop it up with something like books for stability to film.
- Film horizontally, so you fill the frame.
- Keep your device close for good sound quality but far enough away that you are the focus. Try 2-4 feet away.
- Choose a location that provides balanced lighting. Try to find a room that has a lot of natural light.
- Record with the window facing you so you benefit from the natural light. If the window is behind you, you will appear shadowed.
- Avoid rooms with an echo, such as sparse offices or conference rooms with glass walls.
- Avoid blustery locations or areas with a lot of foot or vehicle traffic as your device’s mic may pick up noise.
- Avoid wearing something extremely bright, with patterns or recognizable logos.
- Do not record in a moving vehicle.
- Be yourself and have fun!
