Leadership Practicum
The Leadership Practicum provides Gamma Phi Beta alumnae the opportunity to apply and practice their board-level skills in a capstone experience. Each Leadership Practicum series will focus on one core skill (e.g., generative conversation). Participants will work to develop that skill in the context of a topic or question provided by a Gamma Phi Beta board. The skills are developed primarily through hands-on practice. Participants in the practicum experience will have the opportunity to collaborate within a cohort of other participants, with coaching and real-time feedback provided by a current or former Gamma Phi Beta board member and a practicum facilitator. These opportunities will be advertised as available. Interested individuals must apply and will be selected based on team need.
How do I apply?
The application for the spring 2026 session is now closed. Please check this page often for information on upcoming sessions!
Am I a good candidate for leadership Practicum?
The Leadership Practicum is a great opportunity for alumnae with strong interest in engaging in board-level service to gain hands-on practice and experience as they refine their leadership skills. The Leadership Practicum is designed for alumnae with some board experience. This experience could be gained through participation in another LDC program, previous board- or committee-level service in Gamma Phi Beta, board- or committee-level experience outside of Gamma Phi Beta, or other robust high-level leadership experience as exemplified through the Leadership Practicum application.
When and Where does Leadership Practicum Take Place?
Leadership Practicum is a unique program that adapts to the needs of the Sorority and the participants in the program. As such, Leadership Practicum sessions are hosted on an as-needed basis. The next session of Leadership Practicum will be hosted April-May 2026. Future dates will be provided following the close of the spring 2026 session. Please visit this page often for upcoming session information.
