Recruitment Process
We’re excited to welcome new members who will re-establish our Epsilon Chapter of Gamma Phi Beta chapter at Northwestern!
Gamma Phi Beta will arrive on campus in September 2025 to meet potential new members and our official recruitment process will launch in January 2026. Below you will find information on our recruitment activities and what to expect during recruitment. Tabling
Gamma Phi Beta collegiate leadership consultants (CLCs) will be tabling around campus starting on September 22, 2025. Follow our Instagram @nugammaphibeta to see where they will be!
Information Sessions
Attend an information session where you can learn more about Gamma Phi Beta, what it means to start a chapter and the unique member experience we offer.
- December 2 at 7 p.m. in the Evans Room at the Norris Student Center
- December 3 at 7 p.m. in the Arch Room at the Norris Student Center
- January 27 at 7 p.m. (location TBA)
- February 2 at 7 p.m. (location TBA)
Personal Appointments
A personal appointment is a 30-minute one-on-one conversation between you and two of our Gamma Phi Beta alumnae. This is a great opportunity for us to get to know you and for you to learn more about Gamma Phi Beta. During your personal appointment, we will get to know you, share more about Gamma Phi Beta and our membership experience and answer any questions you have about the financial commitments of membership.

- February 6 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. in Norris Student Center
A personal appointment is required in order to be considered for membership in Gamma Phi Beta.
Preference Event
Experience a meaningful look into our sisterhood and what it truly means to be a Gamma Phi Beta. This invitation-only event will take place on Saturday, February 7, 2026.
Bid Day
A celebration of our new charter members and the start of our new chapter at Northwestern. This invitation-only event will take place on Sunday, February 8, 2026.
Finances
Gamma Phi Beta’s membership dues will be similar to those of other Panhellenic chapters on campus. During your personal appointment, we will review the financial commitments of membership and answer any questions you have. Each potential new member will receive a resource they can take home after their personal appointment that details this information.

Gamma Phi Beta is committed to creating a more just, equitable and loving sisterhood through our belonging, equity, diversity and inclusion (BEDI) philosophy.
So, what exactly do these words mean? In collegiate chapters, there is a BEDI leadership position that implements inclusive chapter practices and facilitates diverse relationships between collegiate members. We also have our annual award-winning BEDI Summit for collegians and alumnae. Learn more about our BEDI efforts!
Build Strong Girls with Girls on the Run
Gamma Phi Beta is the proud exclusive National Panhellenic Conference National Partner of Girls on the Run International, a nonprofit organization that allows our membership to actively live our philanthropic focus of Building Strong Girls through hands-on service and charitable giving.
Members will work directly with Girls on the Run Chicago to assist with their 5k events or even become coaches!
