SisterLink was first introduced in 1984 to help Gamma Phi Betas connect, share their expertise, offer support and open doors for one another. Those needs are just as meaningful today.
The next chapter of SisterLink brings that same purpose into a modern, digital community designed for connection at every stage of life. Through SisterLink, collegiate and alumnae members will be able to find sisters, participate in communities, exchange advice, explore opportunities and strengthen their connection to Gamma Phi Beta.
You do not need to be looking for a job, participating in a formal mentoring program or living near a chapter to benefit. SisterLink gives every member new ways to participate in our sisterhood, wherever they may be.
As a SisterLink Ambassador, you will:
- Share SisterLink updates with your Gamma Phi Beta network.
- Encourage sisters to create a profile and explore the platform.
- Promote SisterLink through personal conversations, emails, text messages and social media.
- Help members understand the different ways they can connect and engage.
- Participate in training and receive resources to support your outreach.
- Provide feedback and help shape the early SisterLink community.
You may be a great fit if you:
- Are excited about helping Gamma Phi Betas connect.
- Enjoy sharing information and encouraging others to participate.
- Are willing to promote SisterLink within your personal network.
- Can complete SisterLink Ambassador training and use the provided resources.
- Want to play an active role in bringing SisterLink to life.
You do not need to be a technology expert or professional networker. The most important qualification is enthusiasm for SisterLink and a genuine interest in helping sisters connect.
1. Claim Your Profile
Tell sisters about yourself by adding your education, professional experience, interests, location and the ways you would like to connect or help. The more information you share, the easier it will be for SisterLink to introduce you to relevant people, communities and opportunities.
2. Find Your Community
Explore the member directory, join communities, browse conversations and discover sisters who share your interests, experiences, career field or stage of life.
3. Engage in Your Own Way
Ask a question, respond to a sister, attend an event, find a mentor, offer advice or simply explore what other Gamma Phi Betas are sharing. SisterLink is designed for flexible engagement. You can participate in the ways that are most meaningful to you and return whenever you are ready to reconnect.
Join Affinity Communities
Find community around shared interests, identities, professions, hobbies, life experiences and Gamma Phi Beta connections. Affinity communities may include alumnae chapters, professional fields, personal interests, identity-based communities and other groups created around members’ shared experiences.
Find or Become a Mentor
Build an ongoing mentoring relationship with a sister who can offer guidance, encouragement or a new perspective. Members may participate as mentors, mentees or both, depending on their current goals and experiences.
Participate in Flash Mentoring
Sometimes you do not need a long-term mentor — you simply need the right sister for one conversation. Flash mentoring will help members connect for focused guidance on topics such as preparing for an interview, reviewing a resume, exploring a career field, navigating a transition or learning from someone with relevant experience.
Explore Career Opportunities
Browse job and internship opportunities shared within the Gamma Phi Beta community. Members may also post opportunities and help connect qualified sisters with organizations and industries in their networks.
Discover Events and Opportunities
Learn about virtual and in-person events, Gamma Phi Beta programs and other ways to participate in the Sorority.
Connect Wherever You Are
