In the custom of the day, her funeral was held in the front parlor of her home. Omicron Chapter (Illinois at Urbana-Champaign) and the alumnae in the area had a 36-inch crescent made of white roses, Frances’ favorite flower, and pink carnations, with the Greek letters of Gamma Phi Beta in the center. Sorrowful Gamma Phi Betas lined both sides of the walk as her casket was carried from her home to Mount Hope Cemetary in Champaign, Illinois.
