Zeta Omicron Chapter (John Carroll)

Zeta Omicron Chapter was installed at John Carroll University in University Heights, Ohio, on April 13, 2002.

John Carroll University is a small Jesuit university of about 4,000 students in Cleveland, Ohio. Gamma Phi Beta received the privilege of going onto the campus by affiliating with a local sorority in October 2001. The charter class was initiated on December 4, 2001. Recruitment was February 6-10. Reaping the benefits of their labor, Zeta Omicron invited 21 women to become Gamma Phis — the largest new member class on campus!

The culmination of Zeta Omicron's year of dedication was the Installation banquet held April 13, 2002, at Landerhaven in Cleveland. Over 200 people attended, including parents, friends and alumnae. Honored alumnae present were International President Vicki Read; Cory Tice, new chapter director; Brandy Saffell, extension coordinator; Lisa Peterson, membership department consultant; and many of Zeta Omicron's advisors.

The defining moment at the banquet was the presentation of the charter by Vicki Read to Jen Marian, chapter president, and the women of Zeta Omicron. Pride and happiness filled the room as all recognized the accomplishments of this group of women.
