Eta Phi Chapter (Virginia Commonwealth) receiving their charter.

Eta Phi Chapter (Virginia Commonwealth)

Eta Phi Chapter was installed at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, on October 26, 2019.

Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) offers a vibrant and successful Greek community to students, with more than 30 international fraternities and sororities on campus. In fall 2019, Gamma Phi Beta joined this thriving community with the installation of Eta Phi Chapter, the newest addition to our True and Constant sisterhood.

“It is exciting to finally have a chapter name and be able to tell people that we are the Eta Phi Chapter of Gamma Phi Beta at Virginia Commonwealth University,” Panhellenic Affairs Vice President Courtney Maitland says.

Since installation, Eta Phi charter members are working tirelessly to create a legacy of Gamma Phi Beta at VCU. They’ve already hosted several events in the heart of their campus, The Compass, that inform students about the Sorority’s mission, vision and philanthropic focus. At another event, members hid affirmations around campus to help promote self-confidence among female students — a little gesture that shows how important building confident women of character is to this chapter.
