REAL Leadership Institute
REAL Leadership Institute (RLI) is an in-person leadership event for Gamma Phi Beta's volunteer workforce, including International Council (IC), the Foundation Board of Trustees, the Facilities Management Company Board of Managers, Sorority volunteers and advisors. REAL Leadership Institute provides training and developmental programming to achieve our strategic plan and equip the workforce to provide a quality member experience for our collegians and alumnae.
REAL Leadership Institute will be back summer 2027! We’ll announce more details, including pricing, event schedule and more, in fall 2026. Stay tuned!
What will I gain from this experience?
REAL Leadership Institute is the time for Gamma Phi Beta to invest in you and your opportunity to engage with other volunteers and professional staff in person. This event is designed with you in mind, to give you the motivation, tools and sisterhood to support all you do for Gamma Phi Beta. Our time together focuses not only on education but on developing relationships with other sisters and friends who give their time to Gamma Phi Beta.
Who is expected to attend?
All required Sorority international volunteers and one advisor from each chapter are expected to attend RLI. As part of your volunteer responsibilities, attending this event is a key expectation of your role and an essential component for your ongoing professional development. More information will be available in fall 2026.
What did last year’s attendees say?
"I've been a volunteer for a long time, and this was the best RLI I have ever attended! It was valuable as a volunteer and professional in my own career. I felt that everyone was rowing in the same direction to advance the priorities of Gamma Phi Beta. Loved it!"
"REAL Leadership Institute is one of my favorite Gamma Phi events! It's necessary for my work because it gives me a chance to connect with friends and meet new sisters, and the team building addition this year made the event even better. It also gives us a chance as volunteers to come together without collegians in a more casual environment."
Gamma Phi Beta leadership, education and philanthropic programming is funded in part by the Gamma Phi Beta Foundation. We extend our sincere gratitude to the Foundation and the many generous donors that allow the Sorority to create this programming.
