What should I bring?

Bedding
  • Twin sheet set or a sleeping bag.
  • Blanket (the rooms can get cold).
  • Pillow.
Personal Care
  • Towels.
  • Washcloth.
  • Shower shoes.
  • A bag or caddy to carry supplies to and from the bathroom.
  • Shampoo/conditioner/body wash, etc.
  • Robe.
Additional Considerations
  • Appropriate clothing for each day and activity.
  • Gamma Phi Beta apparel for casual evenings.
  • A light sweater or wrap in case the facility is chilly.
  • Appropriate sleepwear.
  • Phone charger.
  • Money for personal expenses.

House Rules
Gamma Phi Beta is excited to use Lambda Chapter’s facility for REAL Leadership Experience. As the space will be used to house our attendees and host events, we have established a facility curfew with quiet hours from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. Please know that the chapter facility is a shared space. All RLE attendees will be using the communal bathroom areas. Please be respectful of the space and allow all attendees to use the facility equally.

What is included?

  • Complimentary transportation to/from SEA.
  • Customized programming for your emerging leadership role.
  • Two evenings of fun, including a sisterhood event and a service project.
  • Complimentary Wi-Fi.
Meals include:
  • Day one – Lunch for early arrivals and buffet dinner.
  • Day two – Buffet breakfast, buffet lunch, afternoon snack and buffet dinner.
  • Day three – Buffet breakfast, buffet lunch, afternoon snack and buffet dinner.
  • Day four – Heavy continental breakfast and boxed lunch.

How do I get a transfer from the airport to Lambda Chapter’s facility?
Gamma Phi Beta will provide all transportation to and from the airport for you. You will be provided instructions on this in June in the pre-event email.

What time do I need to arrive on day one?
Please make sure you have checked in at Lambda Chapter’s facility with Gamma Phi Beta staff no later than 4 p.m. The welcome session begins at 4:45 p.m.

What time do we end on day four?
All programming will conclude at noon on the last day. We will provide you with a boxed lunch as you depart.

What about my flight details?
Before booking your flight, please email flight details to Director of Conferences and Meetings Page Adams. All flights must be approved prior to booking. If you are having issues or problems finding appropriate travel times or flights that meet chapter cost guidelines, Page Adams.

All flights must be booked, with flight details entered in the registration system, by May 29. No exceptions will be made.

How do I add flight information or make changes to my registration?
Please go to our registration site here. Under the “Register Now” button, click “Already Registered?” You will need to enter the email address you registered with and the confirmation number for your registration.

My chapter’s funds are not sufficient to cover my airfare costs for RLE. How do I apply for a scholarship in order to attend?
Click here to apply for an RLE airfare scholarship. If selected, this scholarship will cover your flight costs up to $400. All submissions are due by April 15. Selected participants will be notified by Monday, April 20. If applying for an airfare scholarship, please refrain from booking your flight until after the scholarships are awarded, at which time you will be provided with further details.

I have special dietary needs. Who do I contact?
Please indicate your allergies or dietary needs when you register. We will make sure to provide you with meals throughout the weekend that meet your dietary concerns.

What will the weather be like?
The average high in Seattle in June is about 70 degrees, with an average low around 52 degrees. The city gets roughly 1.5 inches of rain during the month, with mostly mild, partly sunny days. The sun rises around 5:10 a.m. and sets around 9:10 p.m., providing long daylight hours.

What expenses can I or my chapter expect to incur over the weekend?
  • Parking at your local airport or transportation to and from your local airport.
  • Checked luggage.
  • Travel meals or snacks.
  • Spending money for free time in Seattle.

While traveling to RLE, I encountered some travel delays. Who do I contact?
