Who should attend? 
All Gamma Phi Beta approved sorority volunteers, recruitment advisors and designated International Headquarters staff are invited to attend the REAL Leadership Institute.

What should I wear?
Attire for the weekend is snappy summer casual (no jeans, sweat pants, t-shirts, tank tops or flip flops). Snappy casual dress includes nice slacks, skirts, summer dresses, nice capri pants and cardigans. You will be provided a name badge upon arrival and will be expected to wear this throughout the weekend. Your membership badge should be worn at all times (except Saturday evening).

What should I bring?

  • Your badge

  • A light sweater or wrap for the meeting rooms (these spaces are sometimes chilly)
  • Money for incidentals and Crescent Corner purchases

What is included in our registration fee?

  • Airfare (for volunteers only)
  • Dedicated airport transportation to and from Denver International Airport (DIA) during designated shuttle times
  • Three nights double occupancy at the Westin Westminster Hotel

My chapter’s funds are not sufficient to cover my registration costs for RLI. How do I apply for a scholarship to attend?
Click here to apply for an RLI registration scholarship. This will cover your registration costs only (double occupancy) and will not include airfare or incidental costs. All submissions are due by April 18 to be eligible for consideration. Only one application per chapter. Selected chapter advisors will be notified by Thursday, April 25.

What time do I need to arrive on Thursday?
REAL Leadership Institute registration will be available starting at 2 p.m. and hotel check in begins at 3 p.m. Airport shuttles will run from noon to 5 p.m. All attendees should plan to arrive at the hotel in time for the Welcome Dinner at 6 p.m. Please refer to your RLI schedule for more detailed information.

What time does everything conclude on Sunday?
All programming will be wrapped up by 10:45 a.m. on Sunday. Lunch will be on your own. Approved volunteer leaders will be eligible to submit their lunch receipt for reimbursement.

I need to either arrive late on Friday or leave early on Sunday, how do I get this approved?
All late arrivals and early departures must be approved by Page Adams. Please email her in advance for approval.

If you encounter flight restrictions that will not allow you to arrive in time or that will force you to depart early, please contact Page Adams prior to booking your fight. She may be able to assist you in finding an alternative flight that will accommodate a timely arrival and departure.

I’m unable to find child care, can I join remotely?
Gamma Phi Beta events are designed to balance learning and member interaction through intentionally designed programming. RLI is best experienced in-person to engage in small group sessions where members will work interactively together. Currently, our technological capabilities do not allow for an effective or engaging remote experience.

Gamma Phi Beta is so very appreciative of our volunteers and we do understand that we cannot always be your first priority. Because RLI is a very interactive and engaging event, we do not want a volunteer to have to compromise parenting for event participation. If you are a mom and are unable to leave your child, we totally understand and support you in this decision.

What is the event theme on Saturday night?
Put on your Birkenstocks and your fleece vest, it’s time to celebrate our sisterhood Rocky Mountain style! Saturday night’s theme is “Get S’more Sisterhood.” Flannel up for some Colorado-style food, fun and friendship.

Feel free to dress up in your best Colorado-themed attire. You will have the opportunity to vote on your favorite costumes through our event app. Get ready for a fun evening of Colorado themed food stations, lawn games and a DJ to dance the night away. A cash bar will be provided.

I have special dietary needs. Who do I contact?
Please indicate your allergies or dietary needs when you register. You will be provided an allergy card at registration and will be required to bring this to all meals to indicate your preferences. All information will also be shared with the hotel banquet staff.

When I registered, I was asked for my flight information, but I have not booked my flight yet. What do I do?
It is extremely important that we collect detailed arrival and departure flight information so that we may accurately and cost effectively book your transfers to/from The Westin Westminster. If you have registered and plan to book your flight in the coming weeks, please do not forget to log back into your registration page and add in your flight details. All flights should be booked and entered into the registration system by May 30 at the latest.

I am unable to attend RLI last minute, can I get a refund?
Refunds are not available after June 6 due to hotel financial obligations.

What is the deadline to submit a name change?
All name changes must be submitted within one week of RLI on June 20, 2019.

What if my registration has not been paid prior to my arrival?
We are no longer able to accommodate attendees who have not paid for their event registrations prior to arrival. Please ensure that you or your chapter has paid for your attendance in full, prior to arriving in Denver. If you arrive at RLI and your registration fee is still outstanding, you will be unable to check in for the event unless you pay onsite by check or credit card. All event fees should be paid by June 13, 2019.

Are international alumnae dues required to be paid in order to attend this event?
Yes, all chapter advisors and sorority volunteers in attendance are required to be current on international alumnae dues for current fiscal year (August 1 through July 31), or be Life Loyal. If you arrive at the event and are still outstanding on your dues, you will have the opportunity to pay your dues or join Life Loyal when you check-in for the event.

How does the roommate pairing process work?
All matching roommate requests will be honored to the best of our ability. In other words, if Shana and Jill both request each other, they will be paired together. However, if Shana requests Jill but Jill matches with Elsa, the matching request will be honored. Please make sure you discuss roommate pairings prior to the close of registration so that everyone is clear on their roommates and they are assigned accordingly.

No changes will be made after the registration deadline. If you need a roommate, leave that section blank during registration and you will be paired at random. You will not be alerted as to the name of your roommate in advance. Instead, you will find out when you arrive who your roommate is and what chapter she is from. Come prepared to make a new friend!

While traveling to RLI I encountered some travel delays. Who do I contact?
Please email Sara Chojnacki to alert her of your issues and let her know your estimated time of arrival.

I live locally. Can I commute to the hotel?
No, we do not allow event participants to commute to the hotel. All participants are required to stay on property to fully immerse themselves in the education, sisterhood and networking that the weekend has to offer.

I would like to extend my stay in Colorado. What is the procedure?
During registration, you are given the ability to select your arrival and departure dates. Rooms will be booked according to the date range you provide. If your extended days are personal, you will be billed onsite by the hotel directly. If your extended days are for Gamma Phi Beta business, please indicate the cost center that should be billed.  All additional nights will be based on availability with the hotel. What will the weather be like during our stay?
Colorado has more than 300 days of sunshine annually and has breathtaking mountain views. The average high in June is 85 degrees and the average low is 51 degrees. The sun rises at approximately 5:35 a.m. and sets at approximately 8:30 p.m. Westminster is in the Mountain Time Zone.

How do I register after registration has closed?
