How many consultants are hired each year?
Up to 15 consultants are hired each year, based on the needs of the Sorority.
What is the length of employment?
The maximum length of employment is two years.
What's a typical day like for a CLC?
There are two types of consultants: traveling CLCs and resident CLCs. Traveling CLCs make short visits to work with established chapters and resident CLCs work with new chapters for a semester. All CLCs hold officer meetings with chapter officers and campus professionals and attend chapter events such as recruitment, ritual, chapter meetings, sisterhood events, etc. CLC duties vary greatly from day to day.
When does the application and interview process take place?
Applications and supporting documents are due by January 5. Each application is reviewed and top candidates will be asked to interview in person in February. Interviews are scheduled on weekends (Friday - Sunday). The interview process includes individual interviews, group interviews and presentations.
When are the new CLCs chosen?
The chosen CLCs for the following year will be offered the position in late February/early March.
When does CLC training and employment start?
CLCs complete extensive training on Gamma Phi Beta topics and professional skills through seminars in June and July. Each CLC's schedule is created by the Chapter Services manager to best meet the needs of the Sorority. Schedules and assignments (resident CLC or traveling CLC) are distributed at beginning of each semester.
