Last week a London teacher’s weekend homework assignment went viral. The teacher’s students are in the middle of preparing for stressful exams, and rather than force her students to cram all weekend she provided them with a checklist and a charge to complete as many of the listed activities as possible. A few of her assignments include eating ice cream, riding a bike and laughing.

With school winding down and finals taking place across campuses, leaders could take a cue from Mrs. Thom at Bucklebury Primary School this summer. Leaders, here is your summer homework assignment.

  • Go swimming in a lake
  • Buy a treat from an ice cream truck
  • Spend time with your friends
  • Take a hike!
  • Watch a movie outside
  • Ride a rollercoaster
  • Nap in a hammock
  • Go on a road trip
  • Play tennis
  • Visit a National Park
  • Rent a paddle boat
  • Jump on a trampoline
  • Make s’mores
  • Walk on the beach
  • Eat watermelon
  • Watch a baseball game
  • Start a book club
  • Have a bonfire
  • Visit a farmer’s market
