Learning is imperative to great leadership, but how do you learn as a leader? One way to continue developing your leadership skills is to seek out opportunities that will expand your knowledge and experience. It has been said that leadership is a lot like swimming – it can’t be learned by reading about it, you have to get out there and do it. Below are two opportunities for Gamma Phi Beta leaders ready to swim!

AFLV Conference Intern Application

The Association of Fraternal Leadership and Values (AFLV) will be hosting their annual AFLV Central and AFLV West conferences in spring of 2016. AFLV selects 30 undergraduate and graduate student interns to help support staff and volunteers who implement these events. This intern experience comes with the chance to interact with other sorority and fraternity leaders, learn about conference and event management from behind the scenes and network with national officers, volunteers and headquarters staff.

Applications are due October 28. You can click here for applications and more information about this leadership opportunity with AFLV.

Collegiate Leadership Consultant Application

Collegiate leadership consultants (CLCs) are recent college graduates who travel around the United States and Canada to help Gamma Phi Beta chapters succeed. CLCs provide leadership and training, facilitate workshops and help chapters generate ideas and assist with goal-setting. As a CLC you will develop leadership skills that will last a lifetime.

For an inside look at leadership as a CLC you can click here to read an article from 2014-15 Collegiate Leadership Consultant Brittney Dunham (Texas Christian).

Applications are open now at GammaPhiBeta.org.
