Renowned leader Steve Jobs led Apple to success with his mantra of “think different.” A mantra is a word or a string of words repeated over and over again. This repetition allows for increased concentration and focus. Unlike a mission statement, which you share with others or create as a group, a mantra is an internal reminder to oneself about who you are or who you want to be. As a leader you will encounter daily distractions and a mantra can help you stay the path, remain focused and concentrate on what is most important.  You can create your own or borrow one of our favorites the list below. Renowned leader Steve Jobs led Apple to success with his mantra of “think different.” A mantra is a word or a string of words repeated over and over again. Mantras work best with repetition. Once you’ve decided on a mantra consider writing it down or keeping it somewhere you can see it daily. You might write it on a sticky note, place it in your planner or even make it your laptop or phone background. Like any tool, a mantra is only as useful as you make it.
