We are continually evaluating the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) guidance to ensure we are prioritizing the health and wellness of our members. Based on that guidance, vaccines are the best way to reduce risk for our members until we are certain that larger gatherings do not exponentially increase the chance of our members contracting or spreading COVID-19.
With this in mind, all Convention attendees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to attend any in-person part of Convention. This requirement does not apply to virtual attendance. Per CDC guidelines, those who are fully vaccinated have received two doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna shots, or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson shot.
If an attendee tests positive for COVID-19 prior to Convention, they should follow all CDC guidelines on quarantining and isolation. To participate in Convention, attendees should be 10 days removed from their positive test and symptom-free for 24 hours prior to departure. Before departing, attendees are expected to self-screen for symptoms.
Guests may be required to wear face masks or coverings in the hotel’s indoor public areas based on local or national mandates or guidance during our time at Convention. Click here to learn more about Hyatt’s Global Care and Cleanliness Commitment or contact the hotel directly for more information.
COVID-19 Vaccination Verification
A few weeks prior to Convention, you will receive a text message from Gamma Phi Beta. This message will provide a link for you to be able to download your vaccine card for verification. Once your card has been verified, you will receive a text message with a green check mark indicating that your vaccine card has been verified and you are all set to check in at Convention. When you arrive to the event registration desk, please be prepared to present your photo identification along with your green check mark.
If your verification link as expired, respond to the initial text message with the word "upload" to receive a new link or use the QR code below:
Daily Health Screenings
Beginning on Wednesday, June 22, you will receive a daily text message from Gamma Phi Beta that will provide you a link to a series of questions. Please answer these questions honestly and to the best of your ability. Once completed, you will receive a text message letting you know your health status with a green or red check mark. This will need to be presented to attend any group events daily. If anyone has any symptoms and/or fails the daily health screening, they should quarantine in their room immediately and contact the Help Desk (information to be provided at a later date) for further instructions.
