Philanthropic Mission

At Convention 2012, Gamma Phi Beta announced our new philanthropic focus: Building Strong Girls. As advocates for women, our organization envisions a community where every girl and woman has the skills to succeed in life. The Sorority’s new philanthropic focus expresses our philanthropic mission, to provide experiences and resources that build spiritual, mental and social resiliency in girls, in today’s world.

In addition to a new philanthropic focus, the Sorority also announced its newest philanthropic partner – Girls on the Run. A volunteer-led program, Girls on the Run weaves training for a 5K run with fun, experience-based lessons that improve self-awareness, build a collection of positive experiences and inspire life-changing confidence through accomplishment. The organization’s programming inspires self-respect and healthy lifestyles in girls, and their core curriculum addresses many aspects of girls’ development.

Our partnerships with like-minded organizations will build strong girls and make a difference in women’s lives! Our relationships with Camp Fire and Girl Guides of Canada are stronger than ever and continue to flourish. We remain steadfast in our belief in the value of camping, and over the years, Gamma Phi Beta has seen the growing need to build spiritual, mental and social resiliency in girls in all areas of their life.

If no local Girls on the Run, Camp Fire or Girl Guides of Canada organization exists near your chapter, we encourage chapters to find local organizations that are building strong girls in their communities. Partner with groups that provide tutoring for girls and teach girls other life-enriching skills like swimming, dancing or even a foreign language! Support local prom and business-wear recycling organizations with donation drives and fundraisers. Every community needs Gamma Phi Beta women to help build strong girls – the possibilities are endless.

Financial Resource

A portion of the Sorority's philanthropic programs are funded by the Gamma Phi Beta Foundation. The Foundation also provides philanthropy grants to enhance a chapter's financial gift to any local camp.

Since 1959, our Foundation has given nearly $2.3 million in total grants for camping-related causes. To support camping for girls, click here and select "Camping Fund" from the drop-down menu in the Designation box.
