Leadership Development
The Foundation provides grants and essential support to Gamma Phi Beta Sorority leadership programs. We help fund attendance at educational opportunities including Convention, The Academy and Regional Leadership Conferences. Our collegiate leadership consultant program is also partially funded through leadership development giving. Philanthropy
Gamma Phi Beta Sorority's international philanthropy has been camping for girls since 1959. We have given nearly $2.3 million to Camp Fire USA, Girl Guides of Canada and local camps for children. Studies show a camping experience benefits girls in lasting ways that inspire them to lead responsible, confident lives. At Convention 2012, Gamma Phi Beta announced our new philanthropic focus: Building Strong Girls. In addition to a new philanthropic focus, the Sorority also announced its newest philanthropic partner – Girls on the Run. A volunteer-led program, Girls on the Run weaves training for a 5K run with fun, experience-based lessons that improve self-awareness, build a collection of positive experiences and inspire life-changing confidence through accomplishment.
Financial Aid
We support our members' education goals by providing undergraduate scholarships and graduate fellowships. Donor generosity allowed us to award 31 scholarships, fellowships and grants-in-aid totaling $40,000 in 2011-2012.
If you are passionate about helping students fund their college education, please make a gift toward a scholarship or fellowship endowment by selecting "Financial Aid Fund" from the drop-down menu in the Designation box.
You can also create your own named endowment with a minimum gift of $25,000. With an endowment, you can leave a legacy by funding your area of passion. Your gift will help impact a young woman's life!
