Crescent Classic: Walk by the Light of the Crescent Moon in Gamma Phi Beta's first Convention Walk!
CONNECT at Convention 2008 with over 600 sisters walking in the Queen City of Cincinnati to raise funds to support Gamma Phi Beta's philanthropic mission to "build resiliency in girls"!
IMPACT the world around us by providing opportunities to young girls in need of support, life-changing experiences at camp, mentors and friends.
SHINE by the Light of the Crescent Moon as together as sisters we make a difference!
Celebrate our achievements together after the walk by joining us at an ice cream social.
Who:
You! There are multiple ways for YOU to support our 2008 Convention Walk: be a walker or phantom walker yourself, sponsor a walker or donate to the cause.
Where:
Downtown Cincinnati – The Walk, up to 5K in length, will begin at the hotel and tour downtown Cincinnati. Click here to view the route of the walk. Security will be provided.
When:
9:00 P.M. Thursday, June 26th after the Awards Dinner
Why:
To raise money and support for Camp Fire USA, Girl Guides of Canada, the Gamma Phi Beta Foundation and the Stepping Stones Center in Cincinnati.
How:
Here are the ways to participate in the Convention Walk:
Be a walker! Put on your walking shoes and join your sisters at the 2008 Convention to Walk by the Light of the Crescent Moon! Don't feel like walking? That's okay, register anyway and support your fellow walkers as a 'Phantom Walker'. For entry in the walk, a minimum $20 registration fee/donation is required. Once registered, you will receive a sponsorship form to help raise money for your efforts. Ask chapter sisters, Gamma Phi Beta alumnae, family and friends to sponsor you or support yourself! Our goal is for each participant to raise $40.
Sponsor a walker! Have a friend or sister who is walking? Help her meet her goal by contributing to her walk fundraising. Contact your walker for more information on how to donate to her efforts.
