Become a Gamma Phi Beta

Gamma Phi Beta is an International Sorority dedicated to helping women realize their full potential. Of course, you will make lifelong friends here - and in the future. But it's here you will have the opportunity for individual growth through academic excellence, leadership development, social enrichment and philanthropic involvement that will take you wherever you want to go with your life. Women past college age are encouraged to become involved in our Alumnae Initiate program. Women who were not in a Panhellenic sorority or did not attend college are encouraged to become involved with a local alumnae chapter.

We believe that the result of contribution to community, developing moral and ethical integrity in all aspects of life, and striving for excellence in all levels of your endeavors are elements that one learns as a part of sorority life. Being part of a social organization is also an important "fun" aspect of college life.

Becoming self-reliant, looking inward toward sisterhood for support, and celebrating your individualism are benefits not found in many organizations.

Alumnae Initiates Program

Alumnae Initiates are women initiated into Gamma Phi Beta as alumnae members. They may be women who never attended college, who attended a school that did not have a Gamma Phi Beta chapter or who didn’t join a National Panhellenic Conference sorority while in college. An alumnae initiate may be any woman who meets the high standards of Gamma Phi Beta membership. She may be a friend, neighbor, mother or sister of a Gamma Phi Beta. She may be an outstanding community leader, professional woman or stay at home mom. Alumnae of a local sorority that has been accepted as a Gamma Phi Beta colony are also eligible to become alumnae initiates.

An alumna initiate candidate may not be or ever have been a member of another Panhellenic sorority or currently be a house director of a Gamma Phi Beta chapter. These women will enjoy new friendships, involvement, and opportunities to make worthwhile contributions to the Sorority. Alumnae initiates are especially beneficial to small alumnae groups, but they are a fresh inspiration for any group! This program offers mutual opportunities for both the alumnae group and the alumnae initiates.
