We’re Committed to Camping

The Gamma Phi Beta Foundation is proud to supplement the fundraising efforts of Gamma Phi Beta collegiate and alumnae chapters throughout the United States and Canada. In 2007-2008, chapters raised an astounding $82,742 for local camps and Camp Fire USA! With supplemental funding from the Foundation, over $118,000 was given in support of camping for girls.

2009 is our 50^th Anniversary year, and the Foundation is giving from our hearts to support our philanthropy, camping for girls, by double the supplemental funds available to chapters. Collegiate and alumnae chapters are encouraged to join our celebration and multiply your impact by requesting supplemental funding from the Foundation for the funds you raise to help send vulnerable young girls to camp.

If you are not familiar with the supplemental funds process, here are a few tips:

	Only money raised for local camping and local CFUSA councils or camps may be matched (donations for the Camp Fire USA national fund are not matched)
	The deadline to apply is March 15 (estimates of what may be raised can be sent in - this is why budgeting is so important)
	All monies must be turned in to the Foundation by May 15
	This is not a dollar for dollar match; the pot of dollars available is divided according to the number of applications received to determine the percentage of supplemental funds granted

Gamma Phi Beta members also volunteer at camps, giving their time and energy to make the camping experience so special for the girls.

To apply for supplemental funds for camping, click here for an application or contact the Foundation office. All applications are due on March 15. Chapters are to submit locally-raised funds to the Foundation (made payable to the Gamma Phi Beta Foundation), rather than directly to the camps. The Foundation will prepare checks for the camps reflecting the total of chapter funds and supplemental funds.
