Named Endowments

Zuzana Kubicova (University of Southern Indiana), recipient of a scholarship funded by the LadyFood Endowment given by the Dallas Alumnae Chapter.

New Endowments require a minimum gift of $25,000, and named CLC Endowments require a minimum gift of $250,000. As a special endowment category, a Convention Leadership Endowment may be established with a minimum gift of $10,000 to enable representatives of a collegiate chapter or alumnae group to attend International Conventions. All endowment gifts to the Gamma Phi Beta Foundation are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law. Endowments may be funded over a 5-year period or through a planned gift. For more information on creating an endowment, contact Bonnie Payne, Executive Director, at foundation@gammaphibeta.org or by phone at (303) 799-1874.

For 2007, donors age 70½ or older may choose to make a gift to the Foundation through a charitable distribution from their traditional or Roth IRA. For more information about this unique opportunity, contact the Foundation office at foundation@gammaphibeta.org or by phone at (303) 799-1874.

Chapter House Renovation Endowments (Area Grants)
Educational area endowment grants assist House Corporation Boards in their fundraising for qualified educational house renovation projects. Gifts are tax-deductible to donors because of special IRS rulings which allow tax-deductible gifts to fund the educational portions of house renovation and annual operating expenses.

Bonnie Payne, the Foundation Executive Director, has experience in assisting members and their legal or financial counsel in arranging area grant gifts. Contact her at International Headquarters, (303) 799-1874, for more information.

Tax-deductible gifts are held in a Foundation account from which the House Corporation Board withdraws the funds as needed to pay contractors.
