The Importance of Unrestricted Funds

Unrestricted gifts of any size are vital to the Foundation because the Board of Trustees may apply these funds to the areas of greatest need. These funds provide necessary flexibility and are critical to the day-to-day operations of the Foundation.

Because of unrestricted funds, we are able to continue to administer and sustain our worthy programs. For Example: Cori* was an officer in her Gamma Phi Beta chapter and loved being a member. When her father became physically disabled and unable to work, she made every effort to stay on top of her financial commitments. Her Gamma Phi Beta sisters helped, but due to an increased work schedule, she was unable to keep up with her office responsibilities and had to step down as an officer. When her housing bills and chapter expenses got behind, Cori felt it was necessary to resign. She was considering leaving school in order to help her family at home when, thanks to caring advisors, the Foundation learned about her situation. Unrestricted gifts from the Foundation provided Cori a grant-in-aid to help her stay in school.

The Gift of Sisterhood

The gift of sisterhood is a way of connecting through Gamma Phi Beta - connecting with future generations of sisters. The Gamma Phi Beta Foundation exists to provide funding to the Sorority for leadership programs and financial aid to those members working to complete their educations. Theta Chapter Members

Giving opportunities abound within the Foundation. By making a gift to one of our giving societies, your unrestricted contribution helps the Foundation meet unanticipated needs and supports the Foundation's operations.
