Apply for Financial Aid and Philanthropy Grants

Apply for Financial Aid
Gamma Phi Beta Sorority values intellectual growth; the Foundation supports our members' educational goals by providing undergraduate scholarships and graduate fellowships. For the 2012-13 fiscal year, the Foundation awarded 53 scholarships, fellowships and grant-in-aid totaling more than $75,000 to our members.
Collegian and alumnae members of Gamma Phi Beta in good standing are eligible to apply for merit-based and/or financial need-based undergraduate scholarships and graduate fellowships.  Foundation financial aid must be applied toward tuition, course-related fees, and books and supplies required for course enrollment.
The deadline to apply online for a 2014 Undergraduate Scholarship or Graduate Fellowship (awarded for the 2014-15 academic year) was Saturday, March 15, 2014.

Grant-in-Aid Application (for undergraduate and graduate study)

Grant-in-Aid is available for educational purposes only to relieve temporary financial crises for members in good standing experiencing unforeseen, short-term financial difficulties that might force them to withdraw from school. A grant-in-aid request may be submitted at any time. Funds must be used for education expenses. Applicant must be an initiated member of Gamma Phi Beta in good standing for at least six months from the time of application.

Philanthropy Chapter Contribution Form and Grant Application

The Gamma Phi Beta Foundation is pleased to support the fundraising efforts of our collegiate and alumnae chapters and be part of the Building Strong Girls movement!Since 1959, we have given more than $2.5 million to local organizations, including our partners Camp Fire, Girl Guides of Canada and Girls on the Run. Chapters partnering with the Foundation through their philanthropic efforts must submit a Philanthropy Chapter Contribution Form, postmarked no later than May 15 to be included in the 2013‐2014 philanthropic giving year.

The Foundation has provided more than $500,000 in total grants since 1999 to Camp Fire, Girl Guides of Canada and local camps for children. The philanthropy grants awarded by the Foundation are not automatically a 100% match, but rather enhance the amount raised by the chapters. The monies to fund the grants come from donations and interest earned from endowments to support Gamma Phi Beta's philanthropic focus. In 2013, the Foundation was able to supplement 30 percent of what chapters raised. Gamma Phi Beta chapters raising funds for local camps are encouraged to complete the Philanthropy Grant Application each year by May 15.
