FIRST SORORITY SONG BOOK CREATED
Beta Chapter (Michigan) created and distributed the first Gamma Phi Beta song book at Convention 1887. Pictured is an original song book on display in our museum at International Headquarters.

The book, compiled by Ruth Guppy, Violet Jayne and Honta Smalley, was bound in cloth and contained 20 songs from Alpha Chapter (Syracuse), 16 songs from Beta Chapter (Michigan) and two from Gamma Chapter (Wisconsin-Madison).

The "Blessing" and "Hymn" were also in the first song book and were written by Professor Charles Moss and others from members of Psi Upsilon and Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternities.
