1915
Official Coat-of-Arms Adopted
COAT-OF-ARMS ADOPTED
At Convention 1915, our beautiful coat-of-arms, or crest, was adopted. Gertrude Comfort Morrow (California-Berkeley, 1910) was the winner of a Sorority-wide contest and her vision is a symbol of sisterhood we still use and hold dearly today.
Several artists submitted their visions of the crest for consideration, but Gertrude's was deemed the most harmonious with the ideals of the Sorority. The relation of the crest to the Sorority's ideals is revealed to members at Initiation.
